The Cape Winelands located around Somerset West, Stellenbosch and Franschoek are home to werll over 250 wine cellars producing some of the finest wines in South Africa. The Western Cape Province is home to a further 400 wine estates and is commonly referred to as the winelands and the reason is obvious. Any visitor to the area is spoiled for taste
The Somerset West area alone is home to over 65 estates ranging from small cellars hosted by hobbiest to some of the larger and more well known estates such as Vergelegen, Morgenster and Lourensford . All of which are within 5 minutes drive of Topsy Turvy Guest House in Somerset West

For the more discerning taste a quick 15 min drive will take you to the heart of the winnelands around Stellenbosch and the likes of Spier,Zewenwacht, Zorgvliet, Backsberg, Blaauwklippen and Nedeburg

All cultivars from sauvignon blanc's to fruity merlots are catered for on the Wine Route. Mix and match to suite your pallet and foodstyle. Vergenoegd has a great selection including Portuguese style Ports.
